Majestic marble - Carrara marble is the classic material of choice in the bathroom on the floors in the form of a hexagon mosaic, on the tub surround and on the counters. This bathroom is light and airy but for me, I think it needs a bit of warmth in terms of colour scheme. I wouldn't like to step out in the shower in that room, but I would take that bathroom any day! I love that door, it probably leads to some amazing view.

Blazer: A well-cut jacket is a great layering piece, plus it can pull any outfit together and make it look more polished. I love a shrunken blazer with a white tee and skinny jeans for daytime, and an oversized boyfriend blazer paired with a feminine-looking mini dress at night. When you're shopping for your blazer, you can select a simple one in a classic cut or one that's got a little something special, whether it's embellishment, fun stitching, or an interesting lining.

Coat: I practically live and die in coats, living in England and all. So coats a major investment if, well, you don't live in the land of sunshine. Everyone looks good in a coat. You can throw one on and walk down the street looking stylish (you could have your ducky pyjamas on underneath and nobody would know). And while a coat's main purpose is to keep you warm and dry, you can score one that's fashionable and functional. Go for a bold colour or one with embellishments (half of mine sport at least one bow somewhere).

Plain black and white tops: Many outfits I wear include some version of a black or white top. Whether it's cotton, jersey, silk, or chiffon, it's the perfect example of what a key piece represents: it's not necessarily the stand-out item in the outfit, but it's the glue holding the entire look together without detracting from whatever the actual centerpiece may be. I've worn white and black tops tucked into floral skirts, draped over cutoffs, bloused over pencil skirts or with simple jeans. They never fail me. There are so many different styles to a plain black and white top: vests, 3/4 sleeve, long sleeve, t-shirts, scoop neck, v-neck, turtle neck, and more!

Black Heels: I own a pair of sky-high black heels that look fabulous but by the end of the night I'm walking like I have a broken toe o really need to visit...the er...restroom. So I bought a pair with a sensible heel height. They're not spectacular - but they're comfortable and therefore practical. Eventually, I managed to find something between - from that mystical land of comfortable and stunning footwear. They have a five-inch heel but come complete with a hidden platform, so they feel less intense. I love them so much I've had them re-soled twice.

Collared Shirt: Some pieces are just classics, still kicking around eras after they originally made a splash. And while they may get an update every now and then, chances are you can wear the same exact item for at least a decade. I think a collared white shirt looks great on everyone (plus white goes with everything). I wear oversized versions, with the front tucked into indigo skinny jeans. A white shirt is an instant work-to-bar staple.

Skirt: A great skirt doesn't generally make a lot of people's must-have lists, but I think it's an essential. When you need to look a little bit fancy, a skirt is perfect. Sure, dresses accomplish the same thing (with the added convenience of being an entire outfit in one piece), but skirts are more versatile. You'll generally get a lot more bang for your buck wearing a skirt with flats and t-shirts for a casual look, paired with a blouse and heels for an evening out.

Boots: Whether they are embellished motorcycle style, flat riding boots or platform knee-highs, the perfect pair is based entirely on personal preferences. And boots definitely come in handy, particularly for in-between and colder seasons. But remember, they often face the roughest weather, so don't forget to get your boots treated before taking them for a stroll. If they are suede or real leather, you can buy protection sprays from any store, including retail shops like Topshop and New Look.

Key Pieces to A Gorgeous Wardrobe! (Part 1)

The following items will help you establish your look. They are all versatile and can be used to build your wardrobe.

Little Black Dress: After nearly a century, the LBD dress is still one of the greatest fashion innovations ever (thank you, Coco Chanel!). Finding a well-fitting one is essential. And thankfully, this isn't difficult, since every designer seems to offer at least one variation. Whether yours is A-line or strapless, a wrap style or a classic shape, you can wear it with tights, belted, layered with a cardigan or blazer, or just by itself and make your LBD last through the seasons. When I'm completely at a loss for what to wear, this is one of my favourite go-to's, particularly if I need to look extra-polished. Pair it with ankle boots, stilettos, or flats depending on whether you're looking to dress up or dress it down.

Jeans: Denim is necessary in any wardrobe. And regardless of your body type, with all of the styles out there, you're sure to find a pair that will look great on you - don't give up in the dressing room until you've found the ones! While you aren't about to wear jeans to a black-tie event (or to prom, for that matter), you can wear them almost everywhere else. A dark wash is the most versatile: black and deep blues are super flattering, and they look fancier, too.

Yes, I add to it all the time - its practically my shopping list except I'm waiting for Spring to arrive. Most of the clothes are from Topshop because I get most of my clothes from Topshop, but sometimes Jack Wills, Hollister, H&M and Zara. I'm really into neutral knits with citrus accents such as them stunning Office loafers that are only £10.00! Plus, them gorgeous light blue skinnies! I need a concealer brush as the concealer (Erase Paste from Benefit) I have now, would be better to apply with a brush. I've read tons of good reviews of the Revlon Day 2 Night Waterproof mascara and since I need a new mascara I thought I would invest in this one. I just simply want to try the Revlon Wake Me Up foundation, it looks really good and I tried the tester in store. I want a cheap foundation brush and Boots' own make are perfect for cheap but good products. And finally... the light, sweet-smelling OH LOLA! perfume by Marc Jacobs. I want it. Now.

So, I'm not exactly wearing it (obviously) but ....its 4-inch snow here so I didn't really want to trek out in jeans and a t-shirt in snow! But I thought of this instead to make up for it. I intend to wear this dress in the Summer and for dressy occasions. I love the yellow belt, adds a touch of Summer-ishness (I know that doesn't make sense....) and the simple tan wedges are perfect for this cut outfit. Firstly, I really apologize for writing this post a day late, its not really an excuse but I've been really busy lately so some of my daily posts are a few days late. I intend to make some free time, next week I'll be less busy anyway.

The soft and soothing color scheme is carried over into the spacious, light-filled kitchen. I love the aqua cabinets, lighting, and great built-in banquette. What a dream space! The real rustic modern twist on this kitchen is beautiful. So often we get carried away with just making our living rooms and bedrooms nice but when it comes to kitchen people tend to go for either ultra-modern or super old-fashioned. This is a classic, vintage kitchen that I think anyone would love to have inside their home. Hope you some ideas from beautiful, rustic kitchen, love to all!

Imagine you’ve just sat down to an insanely romantic dinner with prince charming. (Let’s be honest, you totally won him over with your impeccable manners during the first date.) He’s taken you to the nicest joint in town. Just as you get settled in and catch one another’s eye, a loud screech interrupts your gaze: A woman at a nearby table drags her teeth along her fork. The sound is piercing. Next thing you know, the electronic tune to “Mama Do the Hump” fills the room as a cellphone buzzes against white china. WHAT IS GOING ON? No manners, that’s what.

There are certain do’s and don’ts when dining out. Things that many of us forget to consider. Below are Lauren Conrad's ladylike laws to dining:

Arriving. Greet the host kindly. If there is a wait, don’t make a huge fuss. It’s up to you to decide whether or not it’s worth it. Restaurants get busy and it’s not the host’s fault.

Napkins. Once you are seated, place your napkin onto your lap with the crease facing you. If the napkin is particularly large, you may fold it in half again. Never take your drink or begin eating without placing your napkin on your lap. When you leave the table or get up for the restroom, fold your napkin (try to hide any food stains you may have left) and place the napkin to the left side of your place setting. (You can thank the 18th Edition of Emily Post’s Etiquette for these tips.)

Menu signals. When you’re settled in, it’s time to look over the menu. Once you have decided what you want to order, close your menu and place it in front of you—this will signal to the wait staff that you are ready to order.

The wait staff. I think a lot of people forget their manners when it comes to the wait staff at a restaurant. It’s important to be appreciative of their service. After all, isn’t it nice to be attended to? Look your waiter in the eye when ordering or asking for something and always say your please and thank yous!

Table tools. When selecting which utensil to use for each course, start with the outermost utensil and work your way in.

The bread basket. If a breadbasket graces your tabletop, tear off one piece and place it onto your bread plate. If you want to butter your bread, take a pat of butter and put it onto your bread plate so you have your own personal butter stash. Never butter your bread directly from the shared butter dish. It’s rude. Finally, tear your bread into bite size pieces and butter as you go.

Turn it down. Please turn your phone to silent or vibrate when you arrive. And try your very best not to text or talk on your phone throughout the meal. If a call or text is particularly urgent, kindly excuse yourself from the table and take care of matters in the restroom. Furthermore, it’s especially important not to try and draw attention to yourself in a dining setting. Translation: Turn down your volume and speak in a soft, pleasant voice. No yelling, loud gawking or anything other audible missteps that might turn heads.

Mind the purse. Believe it or not, you’re not supposed to hang your purse over the back of your chair. I was pretty surprised to learn this. Apparently, you should either leave it on your lap or place it at your feet. And never, ever put your purse on the table. As for our male counterparts, wallets, keys and phones should not be piled onto the table either.

Um, you have something in your teeth. According to Lizzie Post, make eye contact with the individual and signal by lightly tapping your teeth or mouth. If all else fails, just let them know. I would definitely rather someone tell me, wouldn’t you?

Fin! When you are finished with your meal, rest your utensils diagonally across the plate. This is another key restaurant signal that will alert the wait staff that you are done.

Love it...I like the rusty metal planters on either side, the stone stairs, the black front door, the lighting and white washed brick exterior is my dream...I like it all. This house is a home on the outside; makes you intrigued to go inside! If It was my house, I would add a personal touch so people get a sense of who you are are/lives in the house. So often people just make the interior about them, but what about the outside? I would hang a wooden heart on the door or add maybe a quirky doormat. I also wouldn't have a black door, it would be either green or red. I want this house so badly though!

This trend is such a keeper. Its not only been seen on hot celebs like Nicola Roberts and Olivia Palermo but on the SS catwalks too, from Chloe to Burberry. And guess what? I love it! Its a great way to whip in a slim waist on a chunky knit. Especially if its oversized. And better yet, if you haven't got the slimmest of waists, no problem! Cheat a skinny waist with a thin waist belt in black (like above but black). I'm in love with thin, black or tan weaved belts with pastel oversized knit dresses.

Hello everyone! Happy Monday, just want to briefly go over these trends that immediately caught my eye and were cropping up and awful lot! Plum, I was actually rather grateful towards the celebrities that wore such a daring shade of purple. It tends to make people appear bigger and/or wash skin tones away but how do celebrities shove that all away?! Blue is always a huge colour on the red carpet, it is such a classic colour. To add a touch of Golden Globe glamour the celebs opted for intricate detailing, feathering and diamond accessories. From blue birds to lacey brides - nude lace was a big 'fashion yes' on the red carpet. Black adds a touch of romance to the outfit like from Sarah Hyland whereas pink clutches made the outfit more vintage but glam, as seen on Jessica Alba. Scallop detailing was also a big fashion yes on this trend. Last but not least, Citrus Notes, practically every mag you read will either be about surf luxe or citrus hues. I congratulate these daring celebs for choosing such daring shades. Citrus shades make skin look gleaming and luminous, plus its such a hot trend for Spring! Hope everyone has a good week! Bye.

Eh? Yes, as soon as I heard that what you eat makes a difference to your hair I was shocked (and also a little disappointed, no more takeaways!). I'm really longing for some lush new tresses but my hair just won't cut it. Don't you just long for hair like Kate...

She uses a treatment called Keratin which makes your hair extremely glossy and shiny. But of course we can't all pay thousands just for one treatment. 'Lather, rinse, repeat' may be standard advice, but shampoo and conditioner alone won't give you the healthy hair you crave. For the most luxurious locks possible, you'll need to step out of the shower, and into the kitchen. Not to get all scientific here but your hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch every month, and the foundation of all of our new hair, skin, and nail growth is the nutrients we eat, if you eat a healthy diet, you will grow stronger and healthier cells throughout your entire body, including hair. If you were born with fine, thin hair, you'll never have rope-thick tresses - no matter what you eat - but a well balanced diet that includes plenty of growth-promoting protein and iron can make a difference.

Healthy Hair Food No.1: Salmon

When it comes to foods that pack a beauty punch, it's hard to beat salmon. Loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, this high-quality protein source is also filled with vitamin B-12 and iron. Essential omega-3 fatty acids are needed to support scalp health. A deficiency can result in a dry scalp and thus hair, giving it a dull look.

Vegetarian? Include one or two tablespoons of ground flaxseed in your daily diet for some plant-based omega-3 fats.

Healthy Hair Food No.2: Dark Green Vegetables

Spinach, broccoli, green beans, peas and Swiss chard, is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, which
your hair needs to produce oil. The oily substance, secreted by your hair follicles, is the body's natural hair

Interior Design: 5 Things You Should Know

Some things come naturally to certain people: baking, drawing, decorating a room… For the rest of us, it takes an education. The daunting task of pulling together a space that wasn’t just a bedroom in a fully furnished house, seemed like an impossible chore. As with all things, it took practice, a few moves, and some divine (design) inspiration to finally feel comfortable decorating your home.

Whether your space is simply a room or an entire house, there are a few things I’ve learned about interior design to help you conquer your design demons…

#1: Personalize your space.
Your home (or room) should reflect who you are. If someone were to walk into your home, they should know that it’s yours. The best way to achieve this is by including accessories that reveal your hobbies and interests. What’s important is that you distance yourself from what the stores are telling you to buy. Often times we are drawn to ideas that are trendy or pre-done: “Of course this white lacquered elephant statue would look great in my bedroom!” But is that really you? Maybe not. Instead, aim for pieces that compliment your personal clothing style. You may be surprised to discover that styling an outfit isn’t too different from decorating a room. So take a look in your closet. What colors are you drawn to? Do you prefer mod or modern? Clean cuts or lacy ruffles? Use your taste in clothing as a style guide (need help finding out your style? Click here!) for your home - it’s an easy way to ensure your space is 100% you.

#2: Work with your surroundings.
It’s important to understand your design limitations. Be familiar with the size and scale of the room. Also, consider your environment and respond to it. Wherever you live, it helps to take a cue from your surroundings. A simple and more subtle way to show this is if you live in a city then maybe have a feature wall (one side of a room which is different from all the others, a focus point on the room, usually a print or pattern) of the city at night with all the colours and buildings or in the countryside you could maybe have a statue of an animal or tree and have key colours like beige, yellow and green. Another idea I'm really inspired by is having quotes that inspire you in a certain way. This looks great in a bland or too spacious area like a staircase wall or in your bedroom.

#3: Keep comfort in mind.
Have you ever purchased a piece of furniture simply because it was pretty, only to discover that it’s painfully uncomfortable (or useless)? I don’t know about you, but I am definitely guilty of this offense. Nevertheless, the silver lining of this mistake is that I learned an important lesson: comfort is key. When I think of “home sweet home,” the first word that comes to mind is cozy. Making your home comfy and cozy is a must. Nothing is worse than going to a friend’s house and awkwardly balancing on their post-modern chair. Your space should be inviting and comfortable.

#4: Stick with the classics.
There’s a reason classic is, well, classic. Incorporating pieces that have withstood the test of time gives you the freedom to translate them as your design style evolves. Using classic furniture, prints, and fabrics provides you with a basic foundation to build on with trendy or personalized accessories and finishes. Let’s say you find a gorgeous antique credenza or a traditional armchair. You love the shape and feel of the piece, but the finish or fabric is all wrong. In this situation, I say: invest! There are plenty of ways to transform an older, classic shaped piece of furniture. If it’s a sofa: reupholster, add throw pillows… An aged dresser: paint it! The possibilities are endless when it comes to updating a timeless piece.

#5 Less is more.
Keep it simple. You don’t want to overcrowd your space. If you edit the items in each room, the area will appear to be cleaner and even bigger. Just remember, you can always add more!

Soap&Glory 'Some Like It Hot' Thermal Scrub
This is my most shocking product, when it said 'hot' and 'makes you feel toasty' I wasn't so sure but when I tried it in the shower I was very surprised! It gets so unbearably boiling, usually products like this fizzle out but this is long-lasting and has such a wonderful cranberry smell which is really delightful. Its a pink paste with micro black beads which heat up when in contact with water. It contains macadamia oil, vanilla seeds, aloe vera, white sand grains and thermal minerals. It leaves skin feeling like velvet! I really recommend this product.

Bed Head Superstar Volumizing Leave-in Conditioner
Got this for Christmas and I can't keep my mittens off of it! The spray pumps up hair, conditions, detangles, adds volume and gives an extremely light hold. With my prone-to-dryness hair its great to suddenly have beautiful strawberry-scented, moisturized tresses. It had such a noticeable difference and I will continue to use this product. It comes in at quite a pricey amount (£10.15) like all Bed Head/Tigi products but they work great on my hair and all hair types! Its absolutely amazing, you should buy it! Their products last for months on end. Definitely an investment.

Herbal Essences 'Tousle Me Softly' Intensive Mask
For naturally wavy hair (argh!) but since I had curly hair I thought there can't be much difference? Well, I'm actually right but I was quite disappointed in this product, whilst I was drying my hair I felt like it was going rather flat and crispy. So as its a weekly product I tend to moan and groan when I have to use it. It leaves the ends and roots feeling smooth-ish but not incredibly shiny or lively and its quite a dull product overall.

From Midnight Angel to Deco Grunge, from Bavaria to Glam Rockette - I was flicking through Topshop's lookbook and I came across some rather amazing outfits...

My favourite category is Deco Grunge/Glam Rockette. Deco Grunge was inspired by the free-spirited flapper girls of the roaring twenties, getting dressed up is the real deal. On the other hand, Glam Rockette is an all-out star-spangled tribute to rock stars, its all about sparkle, sparkle, and even more sparkle! If your interested, Bavaria is a sumptuous and luxurious take on keeping warm for winter, It is an opulent collection that draws inspiration from folk art. Midnight Angel is all about the soft and the hard collide. Diaphanous silks and chiffons are mixed with leather and patent, while ethereal ruffles, delicate appliqué and cutwork are given a touch of tough when contrasted with zips, chains and harnesses. These outfits are definitely an alternative for party season to the usual red prom dress...

24 Days Until Christmas!

Yes, Christmas month is here! This year, I feel like writing my Christmas list has been particularly hard?! But when I saw these bad boy baskets...

...I totally fell in love! Okay, so this is a pretty random Christmas present but I love it! Makes you feel like a little kiddie again in a sweet shop! Olive and Coco have created stylish and yet totally unique gift baskets for all to enjoy. Maybe you'll even have it as Christmas dinner dessert, I know I will!

Cheese, tropical orange tea and sunflower honey? I think I'll stick with the sumptuous rocky road bites and mouth-tingly chocolate pretzels!

5 New Style Updates...

This going to be a long post, got loads to tell you guys! Hot new winter style updates have arrived (plus, mince pies are finally in supermarkets!) and I want to be the first (maybe second after Look Magazine ruined it!) to tell you all the hints and secrets...feel free to put your own stamp on anything because this is the winter where anything goes! Here it goes...

Faux Leather Leggings

These go with practically anything from a chunky grey sweater to a girly chiffon blouse. I like to play up the preppy side of these with chunky brogues, tweed blazer and a white tee. Sounds a little strange but it actually works, especially with the right accessories and makeup. It also works (another trend...) if you have them just slightly above the ankle and then with pointed courts (think Elle Macpherson and Kate Bosworth style).

Knee-High Socks

These look great under boots, they're definitely the new accessory power player. Stiletto courts will look way too 'school disco'. Style them with tonal layered knits for a cosy, apres-ski vibe. These Jack Wills ones are so cosy and warm, style these with brown leather boots or even wellies!

Tweed Sets

It started with matching short suits and now the coolest trend trailblazers are taking it a step further in prim skirt and jacket sets. The best come from Topshop or invest in a real tailored set. Pencil skirts can be a little frumpy so why not just an inch shorter (careful where you go with this, go to your local tailor for extra help). This look can either go with brogues or chunky flats (take notes from Prada A/W!) or for a sexy smart look opt for heels. Don't forget, you don't always have to wear them as a set, the jacket can look great with jeans as it does with the matching skirt. Plus, the tweed is major cosy come Winter!

Metallics

Metallics can be dressed up or down. It's great come them Christmas do's! It doesn't have to necessarily be a blazer like the one above, it can be a skirt, trousers, jeans, top, blouse...anything! For day, think tops, cardigans etc. as its more casual teamed with jeans. For night think lower half of the body for extra impact like skinny jeans, skirt or a pair of shorts styled with something neutral. Always, whether its top or bottom half, have neutral makeup and minimalistic accessories.

Capes

No, not the Superman type...the high-fashion type! I love this style, a circular silhouette but still is so hot! Too 'different' for you? Well, don't worry I felt a bit like that the first time I saw it, make sure its a neutral like the one from Topshop above. Also, pair it with skinnies, otherwise the whole silhouette of your body will be washed away and make you look fat not curvy!

There are so many other trends this winter but these are the main ones....bye girleeees!

Spring at Kurt Geiger

The new collection was beautifully bright and surprisingly ladylike. The mix of sorbet hues and retro prints made me crave beach weather, sun and candy.. seeing the brand new sunglass collection and knowing a bikini will also be part of the collection did not make it any easier for me. I was especially taken by the neon mary janes, baby blue shades and caged cut-out booties!

Here are just a few ideas for Spring, although if you live in England like me, you might have to give this collection a pass. I love the looks don't get me wrong, but its just too Summer-ish for me. The colours are very warm and cosy, I just feel like who would wear shorts in Spring unless you live in some place hot?! I think the lovely neutrals go wonders against the monochrome and gold. Perfumes: The Perfect Christmas Present!

Us girleeees love to smell good. This year, I have to say, the perfumes have been rather good. So many scents and only one nose, make sure before you buy a perfume for someone that they have smelt it before. No point buying a perfume that someone doesn't like so before hand, take them out shopping and just casually have a mooch around the perfume department and check out which one they like (without telling them your getting them it for Christmas!). Personally I love fruity light scents like my Daisy Marc Jacobs, whereas a slightly older person might prefer a more strong chestnut-y smell. These are some ideas...

Review: Lee Stafford Argan Oil Serum

Lee Stafford's affordable version of 'Moroccan Oil'. I bought it last week and already I've seen a huge improvement wit my hair. My hair is prone to frizz and drab curls but when I used this product it completely revived my hair. You can use this product on both wet or dry hair, I use it both, works better on dry hair. I love shiny, glossy hair and this amazing product gave me that without it looking greasy(it didn't make my curls drop out too). Its lightweight and nourishes hair, the packaging is cute and looks very professional, I love the smell of the product, even when I apply the oil to my roots for extra shine it doesn't make it look greasy, its easy to apply and great for all hair types. The price comes in at £12.
